Dubai has introduced a major legislative milestone aimed at safeguarding every homeowner’s dream. Under Law No. (8) of 2025, disputes between homeowners and contractors or engineers will no longer linger in courts for years.

How does the new system work?

Amicable Settlement Department
Disputes are resolved efficiently and smoothly, without unnecessary complexity, within 20 days.

Dispute Resolution Committee
If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, a specialized judicial committee intervenes to issue a final and binding decision within 30 days.

The law applies to disputes involving:

• Delayed payments
• Changes to materials and specifications
• Design errors
• Construction and maintenance defects
